Details and images have been leaked about Microsoft’s new Courier e-book reader – a booklet device with dual 7-inch screens that can be written on, flicked through and drawn on with a stylus or fingers. The prototype also has a built-in camera on the back cover.

The Courier will be like an electronic journal where you’ll be able to browse the web, read books, make notes and cut/paste images and text from one screen to another.

The device is rumoured to operate on the Tegra 2 operating system that powers the Zune HD rather than Windows 7.

No prices or launch date are known as yet although many are hoping and predicting it will become available by the end of this year.
