The nook is the new eReader from Barnes & Noble offering a colour screen, downloadable content and over a million eBook titles to choose from.

Just when you thought that there was an endless choice of eBook readers along comes the nook from Barnes and Noble. Like other eBook readers the nook uses E Ink technology to display the book pages without glare or backlighting so you can read as comfortably as a traditional book. But, unlike a traditional book, you can also adjust the text size for the optimum comfort and readability to suit you.

The nook connects to Barnes & Noble’s book store through Wi-Fi or 3G to browse, sample and download eBooks from a library of over a million new and best selling titles.

The nook has 2GB of internal memory and can store up to 1,500 books, newspapers or magazines with an expandable memory for a further 17,500.

The nook also enables you share your favourite books with friends and family at no extra cost for up to 14 days. Just select the book and send it to their book reader, iPhone, iPod touch, BlackBerry, PC, or Mac, with the free Barnes and Noble eReader software downloaded on it.
